The Game
What is Red Card Rumble?
Red Card Rumble is a football-themed card game for 2-5 players. Build your squad, use Manager Cards to sabotage your opponents, and settle disputes with real-life Penalty Shootouts. First to 9 points wins.
How long does a game take?
Most games last 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how competitive your group gets. With 2 players you'll finish faster — with 5, expect the chaos to stretch out (in the best way).
What age is it suitable for?
We recommend ages 8 and up. The rules are simple enough for younger players to pick up in one round, but the strategy runs deep enough to keep adults fully hooked.
Do I need to know a lot about football to enjoy it?
Not at all. If you know what a red card is, you're in. The football theme adds flavour, but the game is driven by strategy, timing, and a bit of luck — not trivia.
The Penalty Shootout
How does the real-life penalty shootout work?
Place the cup between you and your opponent at an equal distance. Take turns shooting — up to 5 shots each. Score first and you win 1 point and steal one of their player cards. If no one scores after 5 shots, the card goes back to the game.
What equipment do I need for the shootout?
Just the penalty cup and ball included in the box. Clear a bit of floor space and you're ready. Works on carpet, wood floors, or any flat surface.
Can I be challenged to a shootout on someone else's turn?
Yes — any player can challenge any opponent to a shootout on their own turn. The challenge can't be blocked by a VAR card, which makes it the wildcard nobody sees coming.
